Our Lady’s Guild
Our Lady’s Guild is an active group of women from the parish who work together, aligning ourselves with our Mother Mary, to serve the Lord through spiritual and charitable acts of mercy. Our mission: We as members of Our Lady’s Guild, unite ourselves to Mary, our Patroness, and in that unity, our intention is to make Our Lady more visible to all by working together for the good of our parish and nearby community.
The Guild is comprised of approximately 30 women who participate in a variety of community projects such as the Community in Schools Backpack Program to collect needed food items for area schools, the Baby Bottle campaign to collect funds for Alpha Pregnancy, food preparation for the local homeless shelter, and the annual Angel Tree to collect gifts for those in need at Christmastime. The Guild also works collaboratively with Grace Episcopal Church in assisting with its Sunday Lunch program.
Special guest speakers at monthly meetings and spiritual retreats assist members in more fully embracing their faith and engaging in charitable acts of mercy. Additionally, the Guild sponsors several fundraising projects throughout the year for use in purchasing needed church supplies such as new banners, altar server clothing, altar cloths, etc.
All women are welcome, whether from our parish or not. Meetings are held the first Wednesday of the months September – May, at 6:30 p.m. in Rosary Hall.
