Operating and maintaining a church requires a lot of attention and hard work. At Our Lady of the Rosary, we rely heavily on our parishioners to share their time and talents to assist in ensuring we have a clean, organized, efficient, and well-maintained environment. Please consider volunteering your time to help us!
Grounds and Building Maintenance

The majority of the maintenance work done in the church is done by volunteers. If you have plumbing, electrical, heating/air, technology, or construction skills, we can find a job for you!
Church Cleaners
The church, Rosary Hall, and kitchens are cleaned weekly by a small number of church volunteers who would greatly appreciate additional help.
Church Office Assistants
There are always numerous tasks that need done in the church office. If you like to file, type, copy materials, help with the church bulletin, or related jobs, our church office can keep you busy! You can set your own schedule based on your other commitments.
Faith Formation Teachers and Aides

Our volunteer teachers are qualified and certified through hours of learning and workshops sponsored by the Pastoral Leadership Council of the Diocese.
The most important task of the Faith Formation teacher and aide is to provide an environment in which young people can grow in faith. The teachers should be able to:
- Understand children, communicate with them, listen to them with respect, be sensitive to their circumstances, and be aware of their current values.
- Recognize that children have a dignity of their own and that they are important not only for what they will do in the future, but for who they are now.
- Encourage them to know and respect other cultural, religious, racial, and ethnic groups, and use catechetical materials that are adapted to accommodate cultural, racial, and ethnic pluralism; the concerns of particular groups; and persons with special needs.
- Understand that the child’s comprehension and other powers develop gradually, and present religious truths in greater depth and propose more mature challenges as the capacity for understanding and growth in faith increases.
- Provide experiences in which they can live faith and apply the message of salvation to real-life situations; encourage the use of imagination, as well as intelligence and memory.
- Provide experiences that link Liturgy and catechesis and promote appreciation for the community celebration of the Eucharist.
Finance Committee
If you have experience in dealing with budgets, setting financial priorities, and developing annual and capital spending plans, you are perfectly suited to serve on the church’s Finance Committee. We would love to have your expertise!
Hispanic Festival

Every September, our Hispanic parishioners hold an exciting one-day Hispanic Festival in the field behind the Parish Center. The festival is packed full of delicious food, vendors, music, dancing, and activities for the children. The event raises over $10,000 each year that is donated to the church. Volunteer workers and cooks are always welcome!
Offertory Counters
If you are good at counting money and paying attention to detail, you would make a great offertory counter. Offertory counters meet on Tuesdays to count the offerings from the previous weekend Masses. The process usually takes about three hours, and you can schedule whatever number of sessions you prefer.
Parish Life/Social Events

Do you enjoy planning fun events that bring people together and encourage a sense of unity within the parish? The Parish Life ministry is in charge of planning and conducting various social events at the church such as St. Patrick’s Day dinner, feast day celebrations, church picnics, and funeral dinners. Most social events are held in the Parish Center.
Parish Pastoral Council
The Parish Pastoral Council is an advisory leadership body that assists the Pastor and the Parish staff in discerning the needs of the Parish and, by recommending strategic goals and priorities, guides the Parish in fulfilling its mission as a Christian community. A big part of fulfilling the Council’s mission is listening so they can understand the needs and concerns of our parish members. Council members are asked to make a three-year commitment. Meetings are held monthly.
