October is the Month of the Rosary

For an increase in the devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary
Through the Rosary, may our prayers be instrumental in
bringing peace to the world, let us pray to the Lord.

For families, may they come to know Jesus better through
the mysteries of the Rosary as we pray for the needs of
one another, let us pray to the Lord.

That through the mysteries of the Rosary-Joyful,
Sorrowful, Luminous, and Glorious-we may come to a
deeper love of the Lord, let us pray to the Lord.

That in honoring Mary as Queen of the Rosary, we call on
her to intercede for us as we strive to bring about peace
and harmony in the troubled areas of the world,
let us pray to the Lord.

Memorare

Remember, most loving Virgin Mary
never was it heard
that anyone who turned to you for help
was left unaided.

Inspired by this confidence,
though burdened by my sins,
I run to your protection
for you are my mother.

Mother of the Word of God,
do not despise my words of pleading
but be merciful and hear my prayer
Amen

sacrament of the alter.
Blessed be the Holy Spirit, the Paraclete.
Blessed be the great mother of God,
Mary most holy.
Blessed be her holy and immaculate
conception.

Blessed be the name of Mary, Virgin
and mother.

Chaste spouse.

Prayer for All Needs

We beg you, Lord,
to help and defend us.
Deliver the oppressed.
Pitty the insignificant.
Raise the fall.
Show yourself to the needy.
Heal the sick.
Bring back those of your people who have
gone astray.
Feed the hungry.
Lift up the weak.
Take off the prisoners’ chains.

May every nation come to know
that you alone are God,
that Jesus is your Child,
that we are your people, the sheep that
pasture.
Amen.

Evening/Night Prayers

PHOS HILARON
O radiant Light, O Sun divine,
Of God the Father’s deathless face,
O Image of the light, sublime
That fills the heav’nly dwelling place
Lord Jesus Christ, as daylight fades,
As shine the lights of eventide,
We praise the Father with the Son,
The Spirit blest and with them one.

O Son of God, the source of life,
Praise is your due by night and day:
Our (untarnished) lips must raise the strain
Of your proclaimed and splendid name.

ANTIPHON
(Night Prayer – Liturgy of the Hours)
Protect us, Lord, as we stay awake;
watch over us as we sleep,
that awake, we may keep watch
with Christ,
and asleep, rest in His peace.

CONCLUDING BLESSING
(Night Prayer – Liturgy of the Hours)
May the all-powerful Lord grant us a
restful night
and a peaceful death.

HAIL MARY
Hail Mary, full of grace,
the Lord is with you!
Blessed are you among women,
and blessed is the fruit of your womb,
Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Priests Prayer

Gracious and loving God, we thank you for the gift of our priests.
Through them, we experience your presence in the sacraments.
Help our priests to be strong in the vocation.
Set their souls on fire with love for your people.
Grant them the wisdom, understanding, and strength they need to follow in the footsteps of Jesus.
Inspire them with the vision of your Kingdom.
Give them the words they need to spread the Gospel.
Allow them to experience joy in their ministry.
Help them to become instruments of your divine grace.
We ask this through Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns as our Eternal Priest.
Amen

St. Joseph Prayer

God our Father,
You bestow on us gifts and talents to develop
and uses in accord with Your will.
Grant to me, through the intercession of
St. Joseph opportunities to use my energy, talents and
abilities for the good of all and the glory of Your Name.
May all those who are without employment be aided by our
prayers and the intercession of St. Joseph.
May all fathers be in right relationship with their families
and model their lives after Jesus’ foster father
St. Joseph. Oh Sacred Heart of Jesus, help us to love You
and others with a generous heart like yours.
AMEN.
